Maria is a true artist and is amazing at what she does. She has done a newborn session for my son and for my twins and we have been thrilled with the results on both occasions. I feel so lucky and relived that we will have these beautiful images to treasure. I realise how important it is to trust the photographer when they are handling your tiny little ones in their first few days. Maria is confident in what she does, but always gentle and completely professional. It's obvious that she has a sincere love of newborns and of what she does and this is reflected in the fantastic results she produces. We have put our favourite image on canvas and it hangs proudly in our hall. Every visitor to our home comments on it and can't believe what a stunning picture it is. It can seem expensive, but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for and it is so worth it!
At 5 days old, my son Spencer had his first photo shoot with Maria. I was really concerned that he was too young, but Maria assured me that this was one of the best stages to capture a newborn - and she was right! From the moment we arrived at her studio she made us feel completely relaxed and allayed all my worries and fears. I was a very nervous first-time mum and she made me feel completely at ease. I warned her that I was sure Spencer would kick off and be impossible the minute he arrived in the studio, but I stood back in amazement as Maria worked her charms and made him feel completely relaxed. She wielded him with one hand and her camera in the other with complete expertise that comes from years and years of practice. At no time did I feel the safety of my baby was compromised. Maria worked quickly and efficiently and her artistic eye caught just the right emtions to convey. And the results were absolutely astounding: I had cards printed and many of my friends thought the cards had been purchased. As I suspected when we were in the middle of the session and I could see Maria's work taking shape, we were unable to limit ourselves to only a few photos - they were incredible! It wasn't the cheapest undertaking in the world, but I have no regrets at all about having his photos taken professionally by Maria and would do so again in a heartbeat! Thanks Maria!
We had a newborn photo shoot with our twins at Maria's studio. Our day with Maria and the twins was a real experience and something we shall not forget. Maria was very confident handling the babies and we trusted her completely - in fact she gave us a few very useful tips for handling newborns that she has picked up along the way! We had some family shots taken and then went for a natural look for pictures of the twins together. The end result is a set of stunning photographs that we will treasure forever. Thank you!
We found Maria trough an NCT friend. Her pictures looked beautiful! I was too late to book a new born session for my daughter, but when I had my second baby we did a new born and family session. And I was very happy with the results. My husband wasn't that excited to drive all the way to Hampshire with a 10 days old baby and a toddler in the car. But from the moment we arrived we both realise all the drive was worthy. Maria was super professional explaining everything, how will be our day and the photo shoot. We felt so comfortable during the session. Her playing area for our toddler is great. Ines was entertained the whole day. Maria has such good hands with kids and because she is a mum too we had lots of things in common and we couldn't stop chatting. Never felt rushed or pushed into something we did not like. Her advice in terms of background and poses was excellent though. When we received the pictures we were so happy with the result and was so difficult to choose. I couldn't recommend Maria more.
Maria is a genius! My daughter was photographed at just 10 days old the photos are absolutely beautiful. I wish that my first born child's photos were taken by Maria I had chosen a local photographer who wasn't a patch on Maria. My son who is 4 joined in the newborn shoot and I was amazed at the shots of the two children together (I struggle to get him to sit still). We recently had a family shoot with Maria I wasn't keen on getting in the photos but with Maria's relaxed environment we felt very comfortable and she made sure we all held the best poses (not an easy task!). The photos capture my children's personality beautifully, My daughter is a pouter, she loves blowing bubbles and has chubby cheeks without any indication from me Maria captured all of this. My son is cheeky again the photos tell the story. I can't wait to decorate my home with 'real' photos. I would highly recommend Sweet Bambini my babies won't be small for long but I will always have my photos to treasure the memories. Maria's attention to detail is exceptional I promise you won’t be disappointed.
This was our second visit to Maria, after the amazingly gorgeous pictures she took of our first daughter Sofia 3 years ago we had to return with our second, Aurora. On arrival we were made to feel immediately welcome once again. Maria showed us to her studio and gave Sofia a bit of time to settle in, as shyness kicked in, and we were able to feed Aurora and get her to sleep ready for the shoot. After a few games with Maria and some laughter Sofia was also ready. Maria is not only an incredible photographer but also equally impressive with the children. Sofia and Aurora were soon putty in her hands as she worked her magic. Everyone was very relaxed throughout the whole day, which made it a great and memorable experience. I would highly recommend Maria to absolutely everyone! We will, without doubt, be returning in a few years. Maybe even with another member of the family (a boy this time). Thank you Maria for the great memories and fantastic pictures.
The photos that Maria Murray took of our baby girl take our breath away every time we look at them. Maria is wonderfully creative, has gorgeous ideas an incredible eye. She spends a serious amount of time perfecting the shots after the session, differentiating herself from other photographers we have worked with. The results are simply magnificent and we will treasure them forever. On top of her skills, Maria was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is obviously great with babies but is wonderfully kind and caring towards Mum which is really important in those first few days after giving birth when you feel fragile and exhausted. Her studio was quite far for us to get to and the journey seemed daunting with such a little one but it was well well worth the trip. I was worried about being in a studio for so long but there's a side lounge with a sofa and TV to relax on while Maria works with baby and a little window where you can watch that part of the session which was brilliant. I would advise anyone thinking about newborn photography to drop any other ideas and book Maria right away!
We drove for over 2 hours to visit Maria's lovely home studio, with my newborn son, and I was so glad I did, what a fantastic experience. Maria made us feel so welcome and at ease and the way she treated our precious little newborn son was absolutely amazing. The session was personal and unhurried and we were so happy with the wonderful photos that Maria managed to take. I was searching for photographer who is based close to London to do pregnancy photos for me as soon as I knew the arrival date of my little one in my week 6th of pregnancy. Maria is simply the best that I have found, her pictures are very artistic and can tell the excitement of the mum-to-be & dad-to-be! I booked an early session in order to get the final pictures received before Xmas! Before shooting, I was worried about what to do since it's our 1st child, we have absolutely no experience in pregnancy shooting. Maria is very professional, she prompted us through what to do, how to do and gave us a lot of encouragement. There is no embarrassment at all although I am a conserved person in general. My husband and I feel that it's a very nice experience to remember & we shared some laughs together in the relaxing atmosphere. Maria's pictures do not disappoint us and they are at the same quality as shown in her blog! We are going to show the pictures to our friends during the baby shower and will definitely let our daughter know how we looked when we were expecting her! My maternity pictures are like my wedding photos, it's sweet to look back in years & years time!!!! Definitely worthwhile to take them!
I was really lucky to get a last minute appointment with Maria when my daughter was born last June. I didn't worry for a minute handing her over to Maria - she is absolutely brilliant with newborns and puts them and you totally at ease. It felt like a bit of a marathon session - Maria really takes the time to get a variety of shots and will break if the baby wants a feed or needs a cuddle. The room is warm and there is relaxing music playing. I could have slept for the entire time like my daughter if I hadn't have been chatting away to Maria and looking through her amazing albums of work. The photos are fantastic. I couldn't decide which ones to get and ended up getting almost all. They are so cute and such a great memento of a very special time. Maria also persuaded me to have some photos with my daughter and, although I was initially reluctant, they are now my favourite shots. I have just booked Maria again for our second child due later in the year.

Prior to our daughter's birth, we debated whether we should get newborn photographs of her (i.e. was the expense necessary given all the other expenses!) and searched for hours on the internet for a photographer who would wow us (and reasonably priced). Everyone seemed to be recommending Maria - one day we received the cutest advert in our NCT newsletter of a newborn photo by Maria wearing an adorable purple hat. We caved and called Maria immediately knowing it would be expensive. By the time we connected we were too late to take newborn shots (recommended within the first 10 days SO CALL EARLY) and took Maria's guidance to wait until she was at least 11 weeks old (now i understand why). The day arrived and Maria was so warm with our little one - she also managed to take newborn style shots while our daughter was sleeping. We were so pleased with the results and like the other reviews, had difficulty choosing which ones to buy. Yes, we spent much more than we expected but in return we received priceless photos of our little one.

Sounds crazy but getting our shoot done was truly a dream come true !!! When I had my first baby 2 years ago, I was at one of my new mum friend's house and saw a coffee table book that simply took my breath away !!! It had pictures of her newborn baby in the moooost adoooorable of wooly props and gorgeous foetal positions ! I had always looked at a Huggies ad when I was pregnant and thought this is how I would love to get my newborn photographed but no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't do it! When I saw the photos of my friend's baby I was in love and wanted a new baby just to go get the shoot!!!! They have to be done while the baby is between 4-14 days for best results and I had already missed the boat. So this time when I was pregnant, I booked with Maria straightaway and was blown over with the results !!!! She is extremely professional and the best at what she does!! She has handled any and every situation, she is extremely efficient with time and best of all gives you superb results, a totally calm and contented baby by the end of the shoot and what's more - she has a lovely friendly personality and was fantastic accommodating me in my wheelchair . A dream come true indeed!!
We had tried to take pictures at home but we just weren't able to do my bump justice! I therefore searched the internet and found various sites and was drawn to Maria's unique style, quality and ability to capture the beauty of pregnancy. I was a little nervous when I arrived but we chatted and Maria put me at ease by making me a cup of tea and looking over her portfolio, we deciding what I wanted to get from the shoot and proceeded to take various photos. The preview came through and I was blown away with the results, they exceeded my expectations and that of my partners. I now have beautiful images of my pregnancy that I will always treasure. Only weeks after the birth of my son I looked back at these and was amazed at how much I missed my bump and how special a time it was to be pregnant. Newborn - I was a little apprehensive booking with newborn session so soon after the birth but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. Maria took Ethan and for about 3hrs worked her magic whilst me and daddy had a nice rest on the sofa! The preview came through and we were delighted with the pictures and that we would have such a beautiful recorded of Ethan when he was brand new! I had one of the shots made into thank you cards and everyone commented on the beautiful picture of Ethan putting it on their mantle pieces to admire for longer. I have since recommended Maria to friends showing them our pictures and many have booked sessions or are planning to.
Maria is quite simply the most talented baby photographer walking the planet. We were exceptionally fortunate to get a shoot at the last minute due to a cancellation, and our whole experience with her was quite dreamlike. She had an incredible way with our newborn and three year old.....got him to laugh and smile with ease. In the midst of those crazy first days of having a new baby, this was such an exciting and refreshing experience. The photos are beyond breathtaking and can bring tears to your eyes in their perfection. We would recommend no one else.
Maria has an exceptional talent in photographing newborn babies. I will forever treasure the photos she took of my son at 10 days old as she managed to capture him beautifully. She made the shoot fun and relaxed and I will definitely be booking her again for our number 2. We live in London so we had to travel to see her but it was well worth it.
My daughter had used Maria 3 years ago with our grandson Lennie and captured some precious moments when he was 7 days old and we was completely thrilled with the images and service Maria provided - detail is absolutely perfect. So my daughter decided to use Maria again to capture some similar and different images of our granddaughter lottie at 9 days old and once again hasn't been disappointed. We have now used Maria on two occasions, for our first born 3 years ago and again recently for our second daughter. We cannot praise Maria enough. Firstly she creates a calm and friendly atmosphere for both the child and parents and secondly her pictures are amazing. She has an incredibly ability of capturing your child's expressions and the images are very natural. Her studio provides natural light so you avoid sharp flashes for the little one. Maria is very quick and does not waste any time which is important when shooting a baby/child who only has a small window between feeds and naps. We cannot recommend Maria enough. We will for sure go back to her for a follow up shoots when the girls are older.
We just had our second newborn photo session with Maria. The first one we had 4 years ago was such a success that I immediately booked her again as soon as I passed the 12 weeks scan. And this time again we were totally impressed by her talent and expertise.
